In 2019, we started negotiations with the management of the city of Trenčín on the construction of the so-called CONTAINER THEATRE (KD), as a revival of our unsuccessful project from 2015. The aim of the KD project was to use used shipping containers to build a new chamber theatre (not only) space meeting the latest standards for performing arts. It was to be situated on the land next to the renovated Star Cinema. Although the project met with understanding this time, we managed to get the required support and its realization was planned as an investment of the city of Trenčín for 2022. It was also part of the ECC 26 project, whose title Trenčín managed to obtain in December 2021. Unfortunately, no contractor repeatedly applied for the tender and so the management of the city of Trenčín decided not to implement this project, or to implement it only in 2025, but not as a Container Theatre, but as a solid masonry building…
