CHILDREN’S THEATRE CLUB (DDK) is the first official project of the Kolomaž civic association, which has been operating regularly since 2002. The role of DDK is not only to develop a dramatic direction for children and youth, but also has an integrative, educational and aesthetic dimension. At the same time, DDK communicates with similar organizations and theatres with which it has established and deepened intercity and intercultural cooperation. DDK has gained and is gaining its regular audience and supporters. To date, it has staged over 200 performances by renowned theatre companies from Slovakia and Bohemia, which are professionally engaged in theatre production for children. During the restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, DDK transformed itself into the so-called Theatre Evening Club and brought performances for children through them and during the lockdown, at least in the form of live streams.
