Zoomka vol.2: Conversations about how a film is made

Sound plays a very important role in the film. But few can say what exactly is the role of a sound engineer.
Miloš Hanzély graduated in sound composition from the University of Tomáš Bat’a in Zlín. He has been involved in film sound on several levels, working as a sound engineer, sound designer, dramaturge and occasionally as a film music composer. Among his best known collaborations are Matúš Vizár’s Pandas, Tomáš Krupa’s Good Death, Petr Bebjak’s Trhlina, Mariana Čengel-Solčanská’s Sviňa and most recently he is also working on her upcoming film Slúžka.
During the lecture, we will look at how sound is created in a film using practical examples – we will go through the whole process from the primary sound recording to the final post-production.
