Timber Rattle (USA)
side event of the festival Alone on Stage 2021
The origins of Timber Rattle date back to 2009, when Adam Parks and Brian Markham met in a Seattle studio, hanging around the bands A Story of Rats, Land What Land and Ear Venom. Among other things, they discovered that, besides their music, they also shared a hometown hump – they were born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia, just a few miles apart. They began making music together after moving to New York City, where Markham began playing with Ancient Sky at the same time. Timber Rattle’s first album was called ,,Nature in Darkness” and was released in 2010. A year later, Parks moved back to the West Coast and recorded the EP ,,The Embers Burn In Code”. In 2013 came what is arguably his best record yet, titled ,,Phantoms of Place”. The last record, titled “Animal water”, was released in 2018.
