Pavol Seriš & Filip Teller: Czechs and Czechs
“…Pavol Seriš and Filip Teller, in the best tradition of stand-up comedy, revealed the truth about Czechs and Slovaks. In the spirit of the tradition of such comic duos as Voskovec and Werich, Šimek and Grossmanen or Suchý and Šlitr, combined with modern approaches to stand-up comedy…”(D.Melichar, Divadelní noviny)
The original comedy creation “Czechs and Czech Boys” is a joint work of Pal Seriš and Filip Teller, who graduated together from the Physical Theatre Studio at the JAMU in Brno. The production is on the border between stand-up comedy and theatre and uses characteristic elements of both protagonists: verbal and physical comedy, dance, singing and improvisation. Autobiographical narratives meet with etudes that analyse the relationship between Czechs and Slovaks.
