Dogma Theatre: Sovereigns (premiere)
For centuries, the dog has always been somewhere around human feet. Supposedly man’s best friend. But the truth is that he was more like a good helper and servant. It is only in the last few decades that we have started to take the best friend claim literally and have made the dog a member of the family. Many of us sigh from time to time, what a pity that the dog cannot talk. What if we took that sigh seriously and tried to imagine a situation where the dog actually adopted our speech. Sovereigns is a play about human nature, about the need and desire to give or take orders, about state and other power structures. About the fact that when something ends, something new doesn’t necessarily start right away.
The theatre performance will take place in an industrial space in the NAZA complex in Trenčín.
