BLAHOR(n)ening

An evening of staged readings dedicated to the enfant terrible of independent and auteur theatre in Slovakia – Blah Uhlar (1951).
From Blah Uhlar’s articles, manifestos, interviews and confessions will be read, recited and felt by Tomáš Plánka, a member of Dogma Theatre in Trenčín.
Paraphrasing the Catholic Church’s definition of “beatification” as a process in which the life, attitudes and actions of a particular person are examined in detail and which precedes the declaration of that person as blessed/blessed, and adding the letter “n”, the word “beatification” is created, in which we find hidden the baptismal name of Blah Uhlar.
Blessing(n)enation is my confession to Blah Uhlar, who has profoundly influenced my perception of theatre, creation and the world.
