In 1995, the project of the One Actor Theatre Festival Alone on the Stage was created . Vlado Kulíšek was the organizer for the first ten years. Since 2005, the Kolomaž civic association has taken over the organisation of the festival and has continued it continuously to this day.

Alone on Stage is an international one-actor theatre festival that provides a platform for the presentation of national and international theatre productions. What distinguishes it from other comparable Slovak and international events is the dramaturgical concept based exclusively on one-actor theatre, the realisation of individual artistic projects, and the focus on unconventional, inspiring, non-conformist, innovative theatre production. Thanks to the Kolomaž civic association and the regular support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and later the Fund for the Support of Arts and the City of Trenčín, the festival has already had 26 successful editions.
